Figari Film Fest - Olbia Film Network

Creato nel 2011, il Figari Film Fest è una manifestazione dedicata al cinema giovane ed indipendente, ai cortometraggi ed agli esordi cinematografici di giovani registi.
Negli anni è diventato un festival di riferimento per la cinematografia internazionale. Il festival, oltre a valorizzare la cinematografia internazionale, mira allo sviluppo dell’attività filmica dell’isola e alla valorizzazione della Sardegna sotto ogni suo profilo: ambientale, storico, culturale e di costume.

Oltre alla sezione competitiva sono presenti dei concorsi per progetti di sviluppo di scenografie e opere prime – per maggiori informazioni visitate il sito www.figarifilmfest.it.

La sezione competitiva comprenderà i migliori 25 film fra gli oltre 2.000 pervenuti. Ogni sera, una selezione degli stessi, verrà proiettata alla presenza del pubblico e della giuria di qualità che, composta dai maggiori rappresentanti dell’industria cinematografica mondiale, sarà chiamata a decretare i vincitori per ogni categoria competitiva. Ogni vincitore riceverà una targa ed un premio in denaro o in servizi, offerti dai diversi partner che sostengono l’evento.
Possono partecipare i film prodotti dopo il 01.01.2016 e della durata non superiore ai 20 minuti (titoli compresi). Sono accettati tutti i generi tranne sperimentale e documentario.

1) Films completed after: January 1st, 2016
2) Maximum duration: 20 minutes
3) Country of production: All countries
4) Screening format: .MOV,.MP4 H264, .AVI, AppleProRes 422
5) Accepted genres: All genres except experimental and documentary

Entry Requirements and Procedures
Preview Format: Uploaded File
Any fiction or animation short film completed after January, 1st 2016, of a maximum length of 20 minutes. No exceptions. Running time includes end credits. Experimental short films and documentaries will not be accepted.
The submission to the competition implies acceptance of this regulation. The selection is a decision of the comitee selection. The selection in one competition implies acceptance of a screening free of charge during the festival.
Submissions fee is 10$ ( FREE for music video) and the deadline is 15-04-2017. It is possible to submit works by following the procedures you will find on FilmFreeway.com.
Once the pre-selection material has been received, the registration will be considered as a commitment on your behalf. It is highly recommended to provide an english subtitled copy of your film. A complete English dialogue list is required.
The Festival Organization is not responsible for the copyright protection regarding the work(s) presented. The author of the film(s) must specify if he/she is in the register of SIAE or similar Authors’ Society for the protection of copyright.

Promotion and Publications
For its communication needs, the festival could use pictures of the selected films in :
• Festival catalogue
• Flyers
• Press Review

A less than 2 minutes extract of the selected shorts might be use on broadcasting, website or video monitor for the promotion of the event.

Figari Film Fest Artistic Direction might ask to the Author and the Production to include the film in the Short Film Market Catalogue and available in the dedicated screening rooms.

Invitations
Travel arrangements and fares will be announced after the first selection of the short films.
